Anonymous poster by Amatororis Anonymous poster by Amatororis
This is one of several posters I made for a global studies presentation last year. I think I explained what exactly the project was and why I did so many posters in an earlier post, but I'll explain again.
We were all given current events subjects to present on, be it the Israeli Palestinian conflict, United States foreign conflicts, etc. I got the best one, the Internet. I have a deep hatred for power points because I've never seen a really stunning one before in my life, maybe I'm not looking hard enough, I know they're out there, but i haven't seen them. So instead of power points or what not, I make posters, lots of posters. I made a poster for every topic I was going to talk about, underneath the umbrella of the internet. The topics were: the terrorist group anonymous, energy consumption, the limitless information of google, social networking, user edited content, and the fall from nature.

I did not design the majority of this poster. The Man in the suit with the question mark head is the symbol of the terrorist group anonymous, I set the type.
Let me know what you think.

For the record Anonymous isn't so much a group as it is an idea. It has no structure as well as no leaders anyone can be Anonymous. It really irks me when people refer to them as terrorists. Anonymous has come a long long way and grown up a lot since its beginnings on 4chan. They fight for free speech and an open web. /rant

I really wouldn't call Anonymous terrorists. Sometimes they go over the line, but for the most part they're just vigilantes and protesters.

Brilliant poster,
But I, like the others don't see anonymous as a group of terrorists. Yes, they do cross the line a lot of times, but terrorism goes further then the actions anonymous does.

For example: Their protest against scientologie, that these protests are just like your usual ones, but with more internet jokes and people who don't show their faces.

I wouldn't say that Anonymous is a terrorist group until they blow something up. But I agree with them, and feel that it's the most beautiful title one could fall under.

It's often related to Scientology vs. Chanology, but since Anonymous is Anarchy in Pure Form, anyone can be a part of it, anyone can use it for any reason. Even if other people who deem themselves Anonymous don't join them, that person is still Anonymous and Anarchist, free to use the title on your own.

Personally I'm not much for the Guy Fawkes masks. The movie V for Vendetta had nothing on the Comic book. I prefer Green nylon, lol.

Long Live Anonymous.

hm, I'm not sure, one of they're first rules is that they aren't "your personal army" if an idea is deemed stupid or too cruel by the majority it won't be put into action.

what is there to be afraid of?
I think they're something to be excited about. They are a force of pure freedom, free speech, free thought, free information. They are chaos unchained.

You know, the ideas that some people come up with totally boggle my mind. The idea that someone could rejoice in the idea of a force with find pleasure in the suffering of other people and actively seeks to cause it for that reason is totally inhumane.

That sounds more like the mission statement of /b/ not so much as anonymous itself. The anonymous I know is something that fights for freedom of information knowledge and opinion.

Well anonymous is many things, as anyone has the ability to become part of anonymous and achieve whatever desire they have.
So whatever one person says has to be taken as the idea of the whole.
